A complete exterior makeover was accomplished by choosing a timeless, Old World, Mediterranean theme to add proportion and balance to the home.

The rear of the home did not facilitate outdoor living. The new owners wished to entertain large gatherings in this popular golfing community.

The rear of the home did not facilitate outdoor living. The new owners wanted to entertain large gatherings in this popular golfing community. The architectural solution involved removing the dark screen enclosure behind the great room and replacing the dining room bay window with tall sliding glass doors. A large covered lanai was added directly off the kitchen, with a vaulted tongue & groove ceiling, semi-circular bar, complete outdoor cooking facilities, and space for al fresco dining.

The selection of a terra cotta colored, barreled roof tiles, dark-stained corbels, arched-topped windows, and a natural-toned stucco veneer add beauty and consistency to this Old World theme.

To make it more prominent and lend curb appeal, the entry porch was raised and shifted to the opposite side of the stair tower. This gives it prominence as the center focus of the home.

A complete exterior makeover was accomplished by choosing a timeless, Old World, Mediterranean theme to add proportion and balance to the home. Each section of the home was given its own roof line to define its contribution to the proper massing of shapes as they relate to the overall structure.

A new swimming pool was added, surrounded by three raised terraces, each with its own curved, low wall for seating. There is a sun terrace with reclining lounge chairs; a conversation area with cushioned, wicker seating; and a cozy evening terrace with ornamental, wrought iron fire pit with glass beads and casual seating to enjoy brilliant sunsets.
